Trisha Parker’s artwork is inspired by internal reactions of both biological and mechanical subjects and the environments that surround them. The intention of her work is for the viewer to become aware of the simple, ordinary, forgotten, and invisible aspects of mediums left behind by the rapid advancement of technology. Her work strives to show actions and reactions with presenting a passage of time, a moment caught forever, the destruction that occurs with a new, and the compound system as a whole.
Trisha Parker was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas in 1979. She graduated from National Park Community College in 2000 with an Associate of Applied Science in Graphic Design and from the University of Arkansas in 2010 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Visual Design. She is a self proclaimed musicologist and an avid baseball fan. She currently resides in Fayetteville, Arkansas with her dog, Paco and her cat, Buster.
